FoCo Book Fest. Reading in Colorado at the Fort Collins Book Festival’s October 19, 2019 launch of Brilliant Flash Fiction’s fifth-year “best of” anthology. The anthology will include “Peepers,” accessible through the home page of this website.
FoCo Book Fest combines literary events – like San Antonio, Texas Poet Laureate Octavio Quintanilla’s Spanish/English workshop for young writers – with culinary events addressing connections among food, sustainability, ethics, and politics, two centuries of African-American cookbooks, and a closing keynote by Oglala Lakota chef Sean Sherman entitled “The (R)evolution of Indigenous Food Systems of North America.” Chef Sherman is the recipient of the James Beard Foundation’s 2019 Leadership Award. Beer and chocolate are involved throughout. Many of us will roll onto our return flights home.
